Conversation

Today it is exactly 4 years since I was illegally detained at the Quito airport in Ecuador. Today it has been over two months since my state of innocence was ratified by a tribunal of three judges - but they still haven't delivered the written decision, so the process is in effect. I'm still under the same restrictions even though I was declared innocent. We have no idea how long they will continue dragging this out. In theory, there are no time limits for this stage...

To be honest, this day has been very hard, every single year. But what makes it worse is not knowing for how long I will continue to be in this limbo.
