   ℹ️ As you probably have heard, Meta (#Facebook, #Instagram, #WhatsApp) wants to join the :fediverse: #fediverse with a new project code named #Project92 and possibly named #Threads (https://www.theverge.com/2023/6/8/23754304/instagram-meta-twitter-competitor-threads-activitypub).

   There are a lot of worries that it will overtake and pollute the fediverse (incl. Mastodon). There is even a lobby started that wants to coordinate to block Meta en masse. Others say that it's a great opportunity for Mastodon and the fediverse to have more users, content and publicity.

   What about todon.eu and todon.nl I hear you ask. I like to poll the todon.* community about what to do with Meta when we have more facts, so when we can make an informed decision.

     @admin I think we must block Meta and any big company that wants to join the fediverse. If we allow it, these big companies will absorb the rest of the instances and make it an instrument for their business.
