     @drj @nickmofo I suppose students today don't even need to bother searching in Wiktionary, when LLMs can explain the meaning of words in context:

     (I used an online dictionary in the parent post, but got stuck with two similar words and no way to choose).

     @codewiz @nickmofo i think it's more troubling because of the number of times that we might use dictionary as an allusion or metaphor. And a whole generation has no f-ing clue what we're on about.
