I switched my main computer over to #Wayland the other day. I had to reconfigure my #Plasma docks because my Latte Dock config was incompatible. Not quite happy with what I made and will have to play around more.

It's mostly going well other than the fact my computer won't suspend anymore. That will be a deal-breaker unless I can figure it out. My monitors will lock and even shut off, but something wakes them back to the lock screen and my computer never goes to sleep. Works fine in X11.

@greypilgrim @CyborgZeta On my System76 laptop, that would happen every when I turned on the Bluetooth headphones.

Took me a while to figure it out, and it seems fixed now but I have no idea if the bug was in the kernel, bluez or upowerd.

Are you sure it happens only with Wayland?

@CyborgZeta My computer still would not suspend itself based on timer today. But it did after I clicked the suspend button in Plasma. That same button only put my computer into an unusable state yesterday. 🤷🏻♂️

@CyborgZeta After using Wayland for a few days this week on my main tower computer, I am back on X11. I discovered that I could put my computer to sleep manually, but it would wake itself back up in less than 2 hours, sometimes only ~20 minutes. Validated by checking dmesg.

I could grunt through other issues until they are resolved, but not that one.

@greypilgrim I had the same problem using Plasma w/Wayland. My PC suddenly had issues with sleep/suspend, and sometimes even shutdown. My PC would "wake up", but my monitor wouldn't display anything. And sometimes, I'd tell my PC to shutdown but while the monitor would shut off, my PC would keep running. With the former, I was sometimes able to reboot the PC by opening a terminal and typing reboot (all while looking at a black screen). With the latter, I'd have to manually shutdown.
