   I encounter people who are perfectly nice, who are acceptably competent. But they do not fucking know. What it is to own a problem. Where it does not fucking matter who is to “blame.” Where the job is to spend weeks until you fix it. Because that is the criteria. Not cost-center. Not blame. Just making it fucking happen.

     I worked Helpdesk for 10 years and it made me who I am. Your disrespect is a signal you don’t really understand what it takes. What being accountable for every second of your work on the line with someone who needs you to succeed entails. It is a filter. I am better because I had to be.
