Disk "WD" down!
Mantenimiento preventivo

ronny (ronny@fosstodon.org)'s status on Sunday, 03-Dec-2023 12:39:57 UTC ronny @cr0n0s 11.000 hours is not a lot for a mechanical hard drive. 40.000 hours and more is possible without any kind of issue.

mah:~ $ (mah@fosstodon.org)'s status on Sunday, 03-Dec-2023 16:18:19 UTC mah:~ $ @cr0n0s when mine did that I quickly realized how much of a hassle it is to look for a good DRAM SSD, they're rare and still kinda pricey, which with inflation + currency conversions, it's pain.

ronny (ronny@fosstodon.org)'s status on Monday, 04-Dec-2023 21:19:19 UTC ronny @cr0n0s sure and if the smart values are that bad, there's no way to trust the device anymore. I'm using drives with bad smart details for restore drives in combination with a tape. If that date gets lost, it not a big deal.
