William Herschel discovers Titania and Oberon, two moons of Uranus #OTD in 1787.
Titania and Oberon are named after the queen of the fairies in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Titania´s orbit lies inside Uranus's magnetosphere while Oberon´s orbit lies partially outside Uranus's magnetosphere. For nearly 50 years following their discovery, Titania and Oberon would not be observed by any instrument other than Herschel's. via @wikipedia
