I'm also having an interesting IM conversation with a co-worker about Windows 10. I'm perpetually amazed at how people, even sysadmins who know how deep this rabbit hole goes, are okay with things like advertising within their operating system. Even when that's exacerbated by placebo buttons to turn off said advertising but don't *actually* do it. What other settings (telemetry, input gathering, etc.) aren't actually disabled when you hit those buttons?
