Everything that needs some sort of cloud connection to function *WILL* end up being switched to a subscription model. And that means you have effectively been un-owned of those devices. So I made sure that (almost) all of my "smart" devices work without an internet connection by putting them on a VLAN with no default gateway. Devices that don't work without an internet connection are a risk, IMHO. #LifeHack
