     @hannes2peer Private toots already federate to mentioned people, and a warning is displayed when mentioning people from other instances that it might get leaked by the other instance. DMs will use the same transport and show the same warning. So yes they'll federate https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/blob/master/docs/Extensions.md#federation-of-privacy-features
