1. Photography. A black and white photo of birds flying into the air from a bare tree. A few dark birds are still sitting on the gnarled tree, which has hardly any branches and no leaves. The remaining birds fly in a flock from the tree high into the air, giving the impression that the tree does have leaves and is leaning slightly to one side. Info: Pentti Sammallahti (born 1950) is a Finnish photographer with a preference for slightly melancholic or, on the contrary, gentle humor in his photo motifs. He has an uncanny sense for the one moment in time. The moments he captures radiate a timeless, lyrical power. With sensitivity, he captures all the beauty of the world around him, which he likes to photograph with animals as wonderful extras.
