@root42 @dosnostalgic it was fun! The actual people are still around. They enjoyed the movie but when the car chase started, they’re like OK gotta keep it exciting we understand.

@dosnostalgic I have to admit I found it relatively enjoyable. I had very low expectations and was entertained for a while. As long as you don’t take it as fact or horribly accurate, it’s not that bad of a flick.

@reconbot @root42 At least they didn't include the scene where in the end in order to delay the KGB agents at the airport Alexei would start signing Korobeiniki as the crowd would join in. Source: Alexei Pajitnov on the script's many revisions.
I didn't need the film to be historically accurate, most of these kinds of films aren't. I just thought it was sloppy, and its depiction of late USSR too caricaturized even for a comedy. -

@reconbot @root42 I'm also yet to like a movie by Jon S. Baird. I guess I just don't like his style.
