Anatoly Shashkin💾@SnoopJ Eggers' movie is interesting because despite very clearly using Murnau's and Herzog's versions as a starting point, Eggers doesn't actually copy anything, and that includes the original's iconic imagery, which *every* other version references. Eggers' movie is basically its own.
