It's nice, all of the media ignored federated, user-run social media for nearly a decade, now that the twitter cool kids club joins one instance, it's revolutionary and the next big thing? All it took for 'tech news' to pick this up was a tweetdeck layout (familiar to marketers) and a 'no Nazis allowed' sign (even though the quitters have had the same policy forever)?
I'm open to talk and discussion, but so much of this is just incredibly disrespectful to the users and developers who built the technology, network and community over the years.
