I wouldn't worry too much about the Mastodonians and their obsessions with bans, blocks and extravagant content warnings. If anything, a crazy admin policy will help to incentivize more servers with different policies, and that's all good. Because it's FOSS you can remove any antifeatures which might get introduced.
