@grimsdottir Mostly I think because there's been PR work done with writing articles for various popular tech sites. Also most of the stuff written is more of a "this is how awesome it is" rather than sluggishly walking along thinking "meh, we think it should do its job and we're not trying to take over the world".
Plus of course using all the hip languages and buzzwords, making the UI look fancypants while hiding the ugly underwear. There's been a tremendous amount of work done in a short time, making it look really neat and nice - while that of course also means that several things are overlooked and need to be worked on now that the rush has come. Hopefully the high won't go down before all the people have left .)

@mmn @grimsdottir Once the current exodus is over and the trendy kids have departed to chase the latest buzzword I hope a few will remain. If source code gets contributed or improved as a result then that's an even bigger bonus.
