     @maiyannah @halcy @neon @bottitytto i'm starting to feel jaded about the diminishing marginal utility for gnusocial to clean up after mastodon actually. why fix connection issues if we're being blocked by most of their nodes anyway?
     
     sure MAL is decent but if the two ships are going on different courses maybe we should stop trying to replace the rope between the two because it's just going to break again and we'll need a longer rope next time

     @bottitytto @hakui ostatus doesn't really have a spec so much as "put these 20 protocols in a bowl, blend, put in the oven and hope for the best". is there a test suite somewhere?
