@schestowitz It's one of those inflection points. If he refocuses on Ubuntu desktop and server and doesn't try to unilaterally re-invent all the things then perhaps Ubuntu will be great again as a genuine community player. On the other hand maybe this is the beginning of his departure from FOSS altogether - especially given recent comments. The big dreams are over, employees downsized. Trying to fight with RedHat for cloud domination might not go so well.

But nothing lasts for ever. Maybe this is the time for a new (or old) distro to occupy the place which Ubuntu once did.
