So now it is our chance to help those interested in Foss to understand it. Too bad that the articles won't go into this... they would rather focus on identity politics, mastodon and advertising. Cause that seems to sell better to them than ethics.

@gallux @ilpianista @sim One interesting movement was many people launched their own instances, not just accounts. It also worries me, though. Many of them are pretty much likely to lose interest quickly, and might delete those instances... or worse is they might abandon them, without updating software.

@yk @ilpianista @sim You are absolutely right. Instances mean more responsibility if they have users who have active accounts on them.
