  @cwebber I remain to be convinced that docker is the way to go, but in the last Twitter exodus it does seem to have been a factor in allowing a significant number of new Mastodon instances to appear in a few days.

  @cwebber so for example I predict that quite a few of the new Mastodon instances will disappear because the admin never considered doing backups. And then one day there is some database corruption or a hard drive fails. It's happened before.
