   If there was no WhatsApp, messaging downtime wouldn't be topic in the news. Maybe there would be some XMPP nodes down from time to time, but there wouldn't be any large-scale outages.

     On the news they kept repeating that whatsapp had apologized to their users. Nobody stopped to think that something is seriously fucked up when so many people depend on it. It was a perfect opportunity to enter some meaningful debate on digital coherency. But the stupid dumb ass news anchor just reads the script. Capitalist shill.
