@rolf I see. OK, thanks! BTW, do you know about StartPage and Searx.me (just discovered it)?
And why Chrome and not Firefox? Doesn't it scares you about your privacy?

I've seen some screenshots of GS users that use #Google services.
There's some points to avoid Google here https://quitter.es/notice/1690636 what are yours to use their services?
I'm judging no one here. I'm seriously asking it.

@harmlessgryphon @maiyannah ok, thank you for your answers!! :) I can't think in using them without feeling insecure haha

@rolf I see.
Well, Google must care about individuals since it's the basic pile of the company, but I hope you're right.

Google chrome is non free software it is highly recommended to not use it.
Chromium the ""opensource""
https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/open-source-misses-the-point.en.html
Browser is what google chrome is based on.
And it's completely fuck up thanks to google.
If you want info on these matter the Trisquel forum has already responded to them
https://trisquel.info/fr/forum/google-chrome-trisquel
Basically chromium has inside of it non licensed code witch automatically makes it proprietary.
their are also some strange things that happened a while ago like some paquets that downloaded automatically after launching the browser.
And more shit.
Someone tried to look at all the mess once (read trisquel forum) but the dude abandoned the task because it's to much bullshit and their's to much work to do on it to make it free/libre.
Other solutions are Abrowser (the fork of firefox made by trisquel) and gnu icecat made by the fsf.
Firefox isn't recommended since they put shit in it too now (but at least we can for it).
Learn one thing you can try to hide everything there will always be one information about you that you can't hide it's your ip address (except if you use tor)
In the future normally Gnunet will resolves these problems.

@mangeurdenuage GNUnet?? I didn't hear about it!! Thanks for all of this information!!
OK, the key question here is: why all of this information about us? I mean, there's two main reasons: surveillance (which I think it's not what Google wants, just governments) or ads (which can be avoided with an ad block).
Another collateral issue is that your profile can be your criminal record but that's something that comes with Internet services, not just Google.
Don't misunderstand me, if I'm here and use no service from Google (but YouTube and Android (no Gapps)) it's because I don't trust Google and I prefer to avoid it. I'm just trying to comprehend how does it really works.
