@lx hardware interfaces for sound are not always analog: #HDMI #USB3 .
Analog is just better, like vinyl > cda .
You see - IMO - "they" (*dons tinfoil hat*) want to make the formats more propietary and "under their control" - to reduce the possibility for hardware hackers to have "freedom" over their own devices
