@jeffcliff @picklejarbob Firefox, possibly? They are soon beginning their fight against Chrome: https://www.cnet.com/special-reports/mozilla-firefox-fights-back-against-google-chrome/

@jeffcliff @picklejarbob (At least Mozilla/Firefox – as a non-profit – did not block that addon.) No need to mention that of course, Google/Chrome kicked it, too.

@jeffcliff @picklejarbob Hmm, yeah. But EME is not included in the builts itself (would e.g. cause legal issues, and ethical things you indicate, of course). It is afterwards installed as a plugin. Unticking *one* checkbox in the settings, however, **uninstalls** the plugin! I.e. there is no such code there anymore, then.

@jeffcliff @picklejarbob Yes the EME code to power it, and that part is open source (otherwise you could not read it). Only the for this feature necessary (proprietary) CDM (content decryption module) is a plugin.

@jeffcliff @picklejarbob Why rip out code if the code is not used when you set it up? No need to remove fine FLOSS code, even though you don't like the feature.
