      @davexunit And don't forget wobbly windows; painting fire; raindrops; inside cube---I spent far too much of my life trying to get that working back in the day.

      And now I use a tiling wm and almost exclusively a terminal...

      @mikegerwitz @davexunit i used to record my desktop with a background heavymetal song, and perform all kind of effects in one insane showcase, just for show off some muscle desktop, almost 10 years ago.... Now use KDE in almost default settings (for my wife to not complain) and konsole + ssh + htop... holy crap, time goes by...

      @mikegerwitz @davexunit KDE has its desktop effects which has cube, wobby windows, magic lamp, etc. They work ok. I usually enable them when i wake up nostalgic.
