Been hunting a bug in the material preview system in my render plugin for 2 days now, I finally found it just as I was getting ready to go to bed. Now I can sleep well ;)
Took 2 days to find the bug, and 2 lines to get rid of it... hah, c++ = love and hate at the same time.
