     @jeffcliff Actually, I used to hate the pre-Oracle Java (slow loadtimes, no "good" way to write UIs, overly verbose code, etc.)

     @jeffcliff And Java seems to have done great progress since 7, especially on 9. Even despite Oracle's questionable spending on judges.

     @jeffcliff It rather seems like they're doing practical choices, using each language as they find more fitting. I could be wrong, but meh.
