@szbalint @wxcafe LOL. srsly?

@szbalint @wxcafe So what do we want to discuss about systemd or security?
Security: I do not say Windows is insecure. But one fact is still true: There is much more malware for Windows, so your likelihood of "usual" attacks is lower on Linux. Depends on your thread model though.
Systemd: 1. That's the thing I don't understand why you mix it in here. Just switch to a distro without systemd. That's the choice you have on Windows. 2. You know that svchost.exe is basially systemd on Windows. It does all crappy stuff and as Windows is not open source, we cannot see what it actually does. So the bad design decisions/… may still be there. It's just that we cannot see that, because it is closed source.

@szbalint @wxcafe "Meanwhile, on Linux, Debian and Ubuntu couldn’t even put together a sane CA root store" – LOL are you kidding? "ca-certificates" is a Linux package for years, installed by default. There are also UIs for it, if that is what you want.
"Security updates to packages are arbitrary." – Depends on your distro.
"Chrome/FF on windows have more sandboxing than on Linux." – No, sometimes features lack behind 1 version or so for testing, but then they are enabled for all users.
Also not going into Android now.

@szbalint @wxcafe Okay, so tell me: How do you evaluate the health of the Windows source code? Well… you can't.
And about systemd: You want "low-level plumbing"? Do you really think that Windows has this? (An OS is always a complex thing, so speaking of low-level anywhere is hard.)
