     @donniethedumbass anyway, the availability of source code makes it more likely that any security flaws will be found and fixed fast.

     @donniethedumbass but you still need to trust that the binaries running on the server you're using are compiled from the code in the repos

     @donniethedumbass even with your own server, you still have to trust any packages and updates you install. There's no getting away from it.
