    I was glad to see that Mastodon v1.5.0 incorporated "option to opt out of search engines on public profile/status pages".

    However, I don't know how this works in practice: replies to users who don't have this option are indexed, right? What about everything that has already been indexed in many instances, is this going to eventually disappear from search engines?

    The shocking amount of indexed stuff was what made me stop using Mastodon a while ago
