    So, ubuntu 17.10 refuses to boot after nvidia driver is installed, reminds me why I had Debian on there - it just works, so that's what I'll do now, reinstall debian. what a waste of time that was to test ubuntu.

      @aemon Home, so no big deal, just frustrating because I had to do like 3 installs before I knew exactly what the problem was. so now I'm grabbing latest debian testing, getting that installed.

      @mangeurdenuage Nvidia. others has the same problem too. Nouveau works, but I need proprietary driver for my development \ games etc.

      @boris nothing, just blank console, no grub nothing. made me pissed, so Ill just not use it. Almost done with getting debian back on.
