apps are ipns keys that point to an ipfs object holding some metadata and the app image

an app *store* is an ssb log that publishes app key hashes, changelogs, descriptions, &c. supports comments and ratings

or maybe just the ipfs object since the app store entires are already signed by the publisher that way you aren’t forced to update when the ipns entry is updated to the new version
