   The more I think about it, the more I conclude Java VMs are the way to go for making future platforms. Yet it seems so irrational at times?

     @veer66 Not only that, Java 9 now uses an improved G1 as its main collector and soon there'll be AOT compilation as well on OpenJDK!

     @veer66 For now, sure. In fact, I prefer people using Rust whenever possible. But I understand it's imposible for 100% of people to switch.
