@noyoushutthefuckupdad @assmilk I support that completely. I'd make a law regulating it so duels can be held fairly and without involving others. Challenge someone to a duel, both parties choose a godfather who registers the complaint, they try to solve it peacefully like it was done and if they can't manage they settle a day and time. Duels are held in a square in town dedicated specifically for that with both duelists, godfathers, and an officer of the law to act as referee. It is stated whether it is to first blood or death, and in case it is to first blood medical treatment can be applied just after the duel. Being both duel, outcome and dispute logged by the police, any further attempts to act over the dispute after the duel has been held is easily prosecuted and heavily punished by either fines or imprisonment depending on what kind of unlawful action has been taken.
It'd save a lot of resources, be entertaining to the population, and prevent a lot of crimes over grudges.
