   It was around two years ago that China started experimenting with social credit, a way of controlling people's behaviour so that they would always be fearful of doing (or associating themselves with those doing) anything that looks disobedient like criticising government.
   
   Tencent also had an implementation of social credit but I'm not sure where that went.
