@zigg @bob Telegram's crypto is _suspiciously_ garbage. I wouldn't be surprised if Russia rattles sabres like this to get people to believe it's safer than it really is, and will soft-ban or reverse the ban once they've given them credibility. Signal is _actually_ secure as far as anyone knows. Its big flaw is the lack of federation. Riot's crypto might be OK, but the crypto UX is staggeringly bad, so it's essentially useless to normal people. I hear Wire isn't terrible.
