    tfw AAA titles paid more attention to linux in 2001 than now

    tfw 2001 might have been the true year of the linux desktop.

      @quad Back in 2001, you also had Caldera OpenLinux bundled with StarOffice and WordPerfect along with commercial support, wrapped up in a nice KDE and an easy-to-use installer, at a time when "Linux" and "Internet" where nice buzz words which mixed together nicely just as "GNU" and "slash". And companies such as Intel even built computers with Linux preloaded.

      Yeah, 2001 was likely to become the year of the Linux desktop - if it weren't for the dot com bubble.
