"SRL found that of the major smartphone manufacturers, Google, Sony and Samsung performed the best, missing up to one patch, OnePlus and Nokia missed between one and three patches, HTC, Huawei, LG and Motorola missed three to four patches, while Chinese manufacturers TCL and ZTE missed more than four." https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/apr/13/android-phone-makers-skip-security-updates-users-smartphone-software-google

Basically, almost every Android manufacturer doesn't even bother about security updates, thus don't give a shit about their users πŸ‘Œ

      Original article: https://www.wired.com/story/android-phones-hide-missed-security-updates-from-you/

"SRL found that one Samsung phone, the 2016 J5, was perfectly honest about telling the user which patches it had installed and which it still lacked, while Samsung's 2016 J3 claimed to have every Android patch issued in 2017 but lacked 12 of themβ€”two considered as "critical" for the phone's security."
