   I connect with my digitalocean server through ssh normally, but bear in mind that you must configure everything as the service is not administrated

     How are you connecting? Through the web shell? There should be no problem if you make a regular ssh connection from your computer. It'd be as easier as copy and paste in your own terminal.
     You sure have instructions on how to set up ssh on your account.
