     @h @vertigo I'm a knowledge workers and I haven't had to deal with mouse cramp for years, thanks to laptops with touch pads ;)

     @vertigo @h had to train myself not to hover my hand over the touch pad when I wasn't actually using it (still need reminding sometimes)

     @vertigo @h as for workers in shared spaces and voice interfaces, noise canceling headphones are a thing such people already use

     @vertigo @h maybe you don't have a good set? I lived with a guy used them while writing academic papers in the lounge, as we chattered away.

     @vertigo @h my friend's noise cancelers were like DJ cans, totally covering his ears. I think it helped that he listened to gentle music too
