♻ @nerthos: Yet as delores said, it's true that anyone who didn't agree with the "progressive" mindset was silenced and blackmailed. It happened a lot, and I've had it happen here with people I had literally never been rude or bad towards hating me simply because I didn't have the same political ideas they did. I don't deny that it happened to some of them in the past as well, though. But my hope is that the result of this election will force both sides to find a common ground and agree on HOW to move forward as a society without trying to gain as much field for either left or right whenever one gets a majority of support, lest this shifting from extreme to extreme keeps happening. With some luck, people will start being less demanding with the changes they want and more accepting with the changes (or lack of them) that others want. -- via @maiyannah
