so much of mastodon being trust based irritates me. always act as if someone is out to get you, because one day it will happen and you will not be prepared.

are you really surprised someone decided to purposely modify the software to break the trust model? all tools that can be abused, will be abused. develop better, dont add cheap trust based solutions.
