@FrozenDroid tbh it was fairly easy to hate up to Java 7 or so because of how verbose and hard the language can be overall, while still eating up resources and being barely worth it in desktops.

InvokeDynamic in Java 7, improvements in Java 8+, Hotspot performance records, the ridiculous optimization of ART, etc. should have made it clear that it's no longer the case, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut :shrug_akko:
