    @clint on brazil we actually have a lot of those houses. Pros: they isolate perfectly, so warming it up / down is only really needed once and then you can keep it closed. Also, transportation. Also, it never ever breaks. A meteorite can crash on it and it wont have a scratch.

    Downs: sizes are fixed (you can plug several together, but they are all the same size), and you need special tools to work with it. Placing a nail on the wall needs some special equipment.

      @clint forgot to add: some containers come with an AC (think of meat containers an things like that). They are extremely conservative on power usage, can work on batteries for several weeks, and they make a good job of keeping temperature stable as long as everything is closed.
