LiberaPay's situation, and the situation of many so many others who have been cut off from their card processor, once again demonstrates the need to escape the grip of centralised financial institutions.

Standard cryptocurrencies are not the solution. They are only useful to cyber-libertarian speculators. What do we need? Traceable decentralised fiat-pegged tokens that can operate outside of the banking system without being useful to criminals.
