Why does #Mastodon use #Yarn?

Although it's open source, it's made by #Facebook, so there is an ethical reason not to use it. And according to this article (https://blog.risingstack.com/yarn-vs-npm-node-js-package-managers/) "yarn uses Facebook’s npm registry mirror". Those are two valid reasons to avoid Yarn I would say.
