I read some of the mailing list drama about Speck. Linus no doubt let this pass because Google will be a major influence in the Linux Foundation, indirectly paying his salary.

@bob What do you think. Can I blacklist #Speck in advance on Linux 4.15 (desktop) and 4.09 (server)? Just in case I forget to blacklist it when my desktop and server are upgraded to 4.17.
