1. There's a wider fediverse outside of mastodon that has been there for years
2. There are all kinds of people, from leftists to fascist, although most people don't talk much about politics.
3. It's interesting so some people might want to check it out.

If you are happy on mastodon.social and not curious about the rest, that's great, too.
