I'm just going based off of what I've seen in the past week and it's from what I've observed that bofa.lol is run by a man who is a-okay using his instance as a tool against people he doesn't like

Maybe there are decent people over there, but I think it's in the best interest of marginalized people _not_ to be there, especially since it's a playground for ironic fascist humor and especially since instances with real policies are rightfully silencing them

But also this sort of thing happened last year too and the discourse really didn't go anywhere until the other instance eventually faded into the background of masto so 🤷
