   Supreme court decriminalizes homosexuality. Govt had recently passed the ball to SC asking them to take a decision on it (after SC passed the ball to govt in 2013 saying that Delhi HC cannot decide the matter). Recently Indian psychiatric society has stopped looking homosexuality as a mental illness too.

   Except Christian nutters, nobody is opposing the decriminalizing homosexuality. Recently Muslim organisations stopped opposing in SC (may be they saw that the cause is lost).

     Although very few are fighting against decriminalisation, the society is still homophobic. But at least this will give LGBT people some dignity and respite from harassment.
